For this work from 2002 the artist Emily Jacir asked 60 of her Palestinian friends and acquaintances, living in the New York area, to place ‘sexy’ personal ads in the Village Voice. The ads suggested that the writers were looking for a Jewish mate, which would allow them to return to Palestine/Israel thanks to the Law of Return, emphasizing that Palestinians are not allowed to enter their home country.
